This information can be found at Services Australia Death and Bereavement information. Services Australia have put together some key information for what do when someone close to you dies. In some cases, we may need more information to confirm the participants passing, we will talk to you more about this if we need to. If you need to stop any supports and services a participant may have been receiving as part of their NDIS plan, we will help with this. We expect that this will usually be completed in one phone call and may take up to one hour. The Bereavement support team member will work with you to close off any NDIS relevant matters and answer any questions you may have. Your details will be passed on to our specialist Bereavement Support team.Ī member of the Bereavement Support team will call you back within 24 hours. The participant’s name, address, date of birth and NDIS number (if you know it).We will take your details and ask you to provide: Contacting the deceased participant’s MyNDIS contact.Calling the National Contact Centre (NCC) on,1800 800 110.You will need to be a verified contact for the participant to do so. It’s important you tell us when a participant has died.Ī participant’s family member, nominee, carer or provider can notify us of their death. Communicates with the server to provide you with additional information that normally wouldnt be possible. Allows you to save any location so that they can easily be found and managed. These staff are part of the Bereavement Support team. Even switch between them without having to restart your client. To provide the best support we can during this difficult time the NDIA has specialist staff, trained to help work through any outstanding NDIS matters with sensitivity, empathy and speed. We recognise the importance of supporting family, carers and support networks when a participant dies.
